How to Cut Split Ends

Cutting split ends can be an annoying chore that many women dread. They are not only hard to deal with, but often times they appear to have been there for a very long time. Even though they may look and feel unattractive, the reality is that you will need to cut them to prevent it from growing back in the future.

Your hair may not look natural and all you want to do is curl it. However, you know that they will be very thick and will appear thin when they are done. This is because when the cut ends get pulled back into your hair it causes them to break down the hair follicle and creates that appearance of thinness.

You need to take action before this small part of your hair can cause more damage. You don't want to wait until the next time you wash it, because if it was allowed to stay on the scalp longer it will eventually grow back. One way to prevent this from happening is to trim your hair down in the back of the neck.

First make sure you trim a small section of your hair between your shoulders. Now that you have your tiny piece of hair cut, it is now time to clip it straight behind the ear. You can use a clipper or scissors to cut this part off and pull it back.

The next time you want to clip your hair back, you will want to trim out the area that was just cut. There are several ways to do this. If you don't mind having a small Nick or cut on your head then you can just try to shave it. If you are going to leave the Nick or cut on your head then you should try to paint it off.

If you are not comfortable painting the Nick or cut out of your hair, then there are a couple other ways to cut split ends. You can simply make a small cut in the middle of the back and run some hairspray over it to keep it from growing back.

Another method is to take a pair of tweezers and gently pull the hair up from the scalp and hold it in place. You can also tape a piece of clothing over your head and hold the piece of hair out to the side. Then you can pull the piece of clothing down and the other side out from the scalp.

Any of these methods for how to cut split ends can work. You just have to experiment until you find the best one for you. Remember to trim the hair if you are not comfortable doing it yourself, or paint it so that you do not have to make a large cut to get rid of it.
